We are all here primarily to discuss, debate and sometimes buy and/or sell our P cars. But it's comments like this that I find inappropriate.
Christiandk, I have no interest in getting you in trouble, and I assume that it is meant as a joke, but sexual insults really have no place here. It's one step removed from gay bashing, and lowers this board to a bar room drinking buddy mentality that I am sure Wayne and the good people at Pelican never intended. Let's be better than that. But why do you assume that it was a joke? And why is it insulting to you that Ronnie is gay? Many of my friends are gay - what is wrong with that? Dont be so judgemental, man. We live in 2016 for crying out loud. Have a nice weekend. Christian |

These guys make up the fabric of this interesting Porsche site. They are definitely Porsche guys. eBay has Porsches - no personality - boring !
I hope the moderators can find a middle ground on this issue. I like a little adult humour thrown in for color. Temporary ban ? With apology from the "offenders"? The perma-ban hurts the freedom of speech aspect of this forum. I have no dog in this fight, but I come here daily to visit, shop, a hear opinions on rear boosters . Without rear booster boosters I might own a bloody 912, or worse , a boxter !!! |

So few people understand the concept of freedom of speech. As near as I can tell, this is a privately-owned forum, with volunteer mods, not government overseers.
Private owners have an absolute right to monitor behavior in their properties. I, for one, spent less time on this section of the forum because of idiocy by one of the banned members and another who remains here. Worthwhile discussions were hijacked into adolescent BS. So my thanks to our mod for this step.

100%. I'm sure many people left the forum due to the bs. I had both those guys on my ignore list for some time.

Accept that people are different. Now lighten up girls - it is springtime. P.S. thanks to Wayne for providing the forum and parts at a good price. Even though I have to pay import taxes Pelican has been my main source for parts 👍🏻 |

I understand your point however, as a business owner, I AM THE ONLY ONE AUTHORIZED TO BAN A CUSTOMER. Let's face it, I'm sure these guys spent money here as well. Before they were permanently banned, they should of had a talking to from the "big boss". I'm sure that would of cooled their jets. Tim

Comedy is subjective.....
I am sure that they were given ample warning. Once you are asked to respect a level of decorum to be part of a community it is your responsibility to maintain it. I do not think Wayne places many restrictions upon us. I do know he has an expectation of civility. |

They already are.
By the way, 'Freedom of Speech', as protected under the 1st Amendment, only protects you from Congress making a law restricting what you can say. It doesn't protect you from any repercussions of what you say, whether deserved or not. So, you can say anything you damned well please but you can't expect to be shielded from any ramifications set off by what you've said. |
