To the guy in the silver Carrera.........
......Saturday around 1:30 in the afternoon. Eastbound on Foothill Blvd at Sherman Grove Ave in Sunland, from the guy in the Corvair,...back at you!
Let me explain. I was driving home from work yesterday. Cruising down the street minding my own business when a Porsche Carrera pulls up next to me at a light, the guy looks over, smiles and gives me a thumbs up. Before I can reciprocate the light turns green and we both go about our way. It's fun to get such a positive reaction from someone whose wheel/tire package alone is worth more than my entire car. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1463358185.jpg |
He is a real car guy.
|
"We're not so different, you and me." Said the Corvair to the Porsche.
|
Remember seeing my first 911 in the flesh driving by as a kid.
"Wow, it sounds like a Corvair!" I thought. |
I'd give that Corvair a thumbs up, too. I've always liked `em!
|
Hmmm, imagine if they brought out a new Corvair, mid engine, boxer 6. 2 trunks. Hmmm.

Think I might have told this one here before but many years ago, I was getting a late night slice @ Mulberry St. Pizza on Beverly Dr. in BH in my old beater Alfa Spider. This would have been in the '90s. Jay Leno swung into the space next to me in the baddest Lambo Muira SV I've ever seen before or since. I was truly speechless until be blurts out, "Another real Italian car enthusiast!" :D
That led to a short conversation about the show he just taped, he told me to rush home and watch it because Sean Penn was the guest and it was a good one. Good times. :) |

Scrufus Domesticus, ha ha I love it. Good story about the save of the car.
You plan to keep "the look" ? The little peak to the front end sure does distinguish the MONZA nicely. Cheers Richard |
That was you?
