That bummed me out

Searched my contacts for a phone number and RoninLB was one of the results.

Hope he's still cruising where he is.

He was a character.

Some really great people have gone on in the last few years. I miss them & their contributions.

Almost 3 years since the last post about him MIA:

I had given Markus some driving routes thru Eastern Oregon and Washington. He was very kind in his appreciation; even though he got a speeding ticket within 20 miles of my house....

This brings up the "have the moved on" or "have they passed" question.

After my friend passed away a week or so ago, I posted on Corner Carvers the sad news. It was appreciated. I told my wife to do the same for me here.

What about onlycafe?
He was a regular contributor until last fall sometime.
Hope he is OK.

It's a very thin line here, or any site. If I write today and pass tomorrow, who's to know. I told my wife to post my passing to all who give a sh"".

Ron madaio (roninlb) passed away.......he and I were fairly close and I was helping him map out his next trip which was to be north to newfoundland, which I had told him about when we competed in the targa in 2012.....he was battling lung cancer, was in full remission, then it came back hard....
He and I had some very deep discussions about life, he was a man above all with his wisdom.......

bell 05-25-2016 06:58 PM

He passed the day after Christmas in 2012.......
One of the few pics I have is from when he and overpaid slacker (JP) and I met up in the mountains ....I would guess this is 2006ish...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1464227894.jpg

Fact is that every single one of us will make our last post someday....never to be heard from again. What's the % that will have left with the reason known to the rest of us still temporarily here....I dunno, maybe 1%?

It's the nature of this beast called PPOT...

Roux Roux was another good guy who passed. Only Cafe has taken a break, hopefully he will be back. Some just drop off, maybe a little tired of the drama. Burnin' Oil always had a zinger to throw in there, miss his humor.

I've got a few previous co-workers that have passed - as many as 5-6 years ago. And every year LinkedIn automatically sends out a reminder of another yearly work anniversary to congratulate them on.

:(

I googled the only handle my brother used that I knew about after he passed for the same reason. He was on the computer a lot, but he never posted anywhere much.
