The Marble Bird Bath is done
 

I set the base in concrete yesterday and set the Bird Bath today. My wife likes it, it will look better when we get some green stuff around it. I didn't see one damn bird in it today. Don't they know?

Glue 2 or 3 peeps to one end to help sell it to 'em. I think you might have some stupid birds in your area.

Thanks folks, I saw some sparrow looking things sneaking around this morning, just drinking. Maybe when it warms up today they will take a plunge.

The bird bath looks really nice...then you finished it off with a piece of plain ol' pipe? If you did something somewhat decorative around the base, it would REALLY look great in the yard.

If you build it, they will come.
....Just takes time for the word to get around.

That's going to be a pia to wire-brush clean every other day.


(Got any cats or other predators in the area? - greenery will help, in that, the birdies will have a place to jump into and hide on short order.)

I thought about that but didn't want something to take away from the Marble piece so I decided to plant some greenery around the galvanized post. The green will cover the post and it will be a stand alone piece.
