My dad was not a hairy man. He only had 7 hairs on his chest. My mom had them each named.

He could shave the night before and still not have much of a 5:00 shadow.

Dependent on trust level.

No trust - electric clippers
Low level of trust - small scissors as used by children
Medium level of trust - larger scissors
High level of trust - big, sharp scissors

Desire to be Caitlin Jenner - straight razor

My wife trims my head hair every few weeks, so I don't look too much like Bozo, the Clown.

I shave my head; used to let my ex-wife do that when I was in the Army. Current wife has shown no interest in shaving any parts of me (and likes the hairiness of chest I possess). When I was younger, I will admit to shaving my chest when I was playing volleyball tournaments on the beach--can't honestly say why. These days, just a little beautifying of the garden on occasion...

The next question is, how do the body shavers here deal with itching, redness, etc?

I've been encountering some of this on the legs. Slightly blemishing the prettiness. Surely bike racers and habitual manscapers have this solved?

WWVD (What Would Vash Do)?

Personally, just suck it up and deal with it

I think there's certain oils you can use to reduce the itch/redness; I've just never cared enough to look into them, lol.

You just trust your GF doesn't find out about your wife!

That might not be so pretty.
