I was there in 88', and even snuck in the pit area during the race(for like 8 hours). NOT going to happen today! Have fun.

Mike, if you get the chance to wander over to the Maison Blanc camping area across from pit in. The camping / partying sceen in that area is worth walking thru. Lots of big Brit camps and crazy ness going on.
One of the areas I enjoyed watching from is after the Dunlop bridge and before they enter the muslin straight, from the inside of the track, nice section of turns from a good perspective. Are you seeing any of those small low displacement econo racers. Panhards etc. Interesting class, to my mind should have the biggest rear view mirrors of all. Thanks for the update. Hahahahaha! Where's your spirit of adventure?
Post it Mike! Seriously, that guy must be a semi-legend if he's still doing that. Gotta post it. Meanwhile, in race news... __________________________________________________ __________ The Ford GT And Ferrari 488 Teams Were Sandbagging Before Le Mans After All ![]() For the first time in recent history, 24 Hours of Le Mans race organizers have forced several cars to adjust their weight and other specs just ahead of the big event to try and even the playing field. That means the blisteringly quick Ford GT and Ferrari 488 teams weren’t showing their true pace before qualifying began. Sportscar365 listed the following modifications to the LM GTE Pro-class cars’ Balance of Performance today: Ford GT: 10 kilogram increase in weight over qualifying spec, reduction in turbo boost pressure Ferrari 488 GTE: 15 kilogram increase in weight over qualifying spec, 2-liter increase in fuel capacity Corvette C7.R: 0.2 mm increase in air restrictor size, 2-liter increase in fuel capacity Aston Martin Vantage GTE: 0.2 mm increase in air restrictor size In other words, the Ferrari and Ford were made slower, the Corvette and Aston Martin are allowed to run faster, and no changes have been made to the Porsche 911 RSRs in the class. The Ford and Ferrari should have lost their grid spots too in my opinion. Start them at the back of the pack.

Why? Le Mans is as much about strategy as vehicle capability. Gotta play the long game.

Sandbagging is cheating essentially. They were given setup specs based on their performance on test day and they hid their car's true performance. Why reward them with grid spots based on their deception?

Just watching the live feed from the 919. No audio other than the race car!
Wow! Sounds a little weird accelerating and braking but pretty impressive race car noises.
