Sons Latest Flip
My Son has been buying and selling stuff for several months. He has done well if you consider that every thing he sells it is always more than he buys if more and that includes repair and replacing parts. Here is his latest. He picked up a 4 wheeler frame with wheels for $40, put in a new 208cc pull start engine, new hydraulic rear brakes, a new throttle assembly, new clutch and chain, new handle bars, and seat - parts totaled shy of $400. The thing is scary scary fast and frankly I wouldn't open it up. He's asking $1200 which I think is ridiculous. He just might finally take one on the chin. My fear is that he will say "I can't get my asking price so I guess I have to keep it..." Ya, I don't think so!
Seriously, what do you think it could sell for? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1465932388.jpg |
Sorry, but 500 max with no body work...

Cold air intake puts it over the edge!

That kid of yours is scary. He might end up owning the world. I can see him making two to four hundred from it.
|
450-500. Canadian.
|
Oh and mike, if he isn't on Facebook he needs to be joining all of the yard sale and buy sell trade groups for your area. Craigslist is stagnant compared to those groups.
|
It isn't a flip until it is sold. $500 tops in my book. But sometimes if a kid is popular, they can sell ice to the Inuit. It works for grownups too, i.e. speedshops that are hip.

"Latest flip" sounds a little prescient.

Nice work! I'd be afraid of someone purchasing it and then hurting themselves with it and going after your son by suing him. No safety warnings, etc.

Might be able to get that much if you go state home built and have highway patrol inspect it. OHV needs permit if you want to take it anywhere fun.
