What are you talking about, hockey is over??

DonDavis 06-20-2016 08:11 AM

What a great game. I don't watch a lot of NBA, but this one was fantastic.
Very happy for Cleveland and LeBron.
Go Cavs!!

Tobra 06-20-2016 08:55 AM

If the fix was not in, that would have never gone 7 games. Done with watching the NBA

Bob Kontak 06-20-2016 09:32 AM

Good for the Cavs.

God bless the fix. Porsche is saying the same thing.

I'm no James fan but he was processed last night. The blocked shot with less than 2 minutes to play was telling. He wanted it more than GS. The 73 win season becomes an asterisk just like the Seattle Mariners in the early 2000s. You gotta run the table to be considered great.

I have not been a GSW guy since they had Joe Barry Carroll and World B Free. I was a Kings guy until they treated the best coach they will ever have, Adelman, like a rented goalie.

I am done with watching professional sports. Quit baseball when they cancelled the World Series due to greed. Lost interest in basketball when the Kings dicked Adelman around. I almost gave up on this series when they did the BS suspension on that guy Green. Now, I am done.

I haven't watched either one of those sports in many, many years.. I didn't even know a game was on last night until I heard a few people talking about it at lunch today. You need to start watching hockey! :)

Hockey is not great on TV, tough to see what is going on, kind of like soccer. Really good to go to the games though, went to some Sharks games when they were at the Cow Palace, enjoyed it a lot.

If I am jonesing for sports, there are plenty of high school and college games to see.

I live near Cleveland. I am biased but I am not a rabid basketball fan.

I found out the Cavs were doing well after game five. Heck, I'll tune in. Sweet, they won.

That said, Draymond Green had a recent history (and a separate ejection) of dirty sack attacks at the time he (sort of) upper cut LeBron in the nads. All of this knowledge was gained after your fix post.

What are you supposed to do if you are the NBA? Say, "Oh, he's just an aggressive stinker"?

Why don't you expound on why this was unfair. He punched a guy "there" because he was embarrassed/PO'd or other. He kneed and kicked a player in the groin in an earlier playoff round.

Green also played game six and seven. Where's the fix? Two more chances to win and the last was the at home slam dunk opportunity.

FWIW, none of the groin attacks hit home. There was some good acting. As many here know (unfortunately), you get nailed there and you are down. You stay down.........long time.

FWIW #2, I pretty much walked on the NFL in 82 after the strike.

Lebrons block of Iguodala's layup was incredible. For a guy his size...I sure wouldn't want to be in his path...he was flying!!
Congrats to the Cavs...well done!

A coworker of mine is a Cleveland native and rabid sports fan, she was there for many of the last few decades' worth of sport disappointments. It means far more to Cleveland than possibly any mother major metro area in America, I've never seen anything quite like it. I'm not a Lebron fan, but kudos for returning home to bring them a championship.

Who and what are the Cavs?

ckelly78z 06-21-2016 04:05 AM

It seems that the GSWs live or die by the 3 point shot, and have no real inside game other than a sneaky layup now and then. Watching Cleveland play is more like what basketball should be, good inside strength, not chicken **** 25' arch shots. Now we just need to get the Browns and the Indians on board.

The Cleveland Cavaliers - an NBA team that never seemed to be able to pull it together until this play off when they played best of 7 games against last years champions the Gold State Warriors of Oakland California. While the Warriors are a strong, deep team they have a stand out named Stephan Curry who could nail 3 point shots like they were easy or something. The Cavaliers brought back a phenom called LeBron James who made it to the pros out of high school. He is from Cleveland but signed with Miami leaving Cleveland and brought them two championships. James is considered by most who follow NBA basketball to be one of the best to ever play the game. He came back to Cleveland. He came home.

There, now you know. ;)
