What's the scam here?
I've noticed a couple of ads on Craigslist where they're directing you to another website for pictures, for example -
FREE Dresser/Armoire Come pick up this free dresser/Armoire. Quite heavy , must pick up yourself.Check the pics I have at roxauto*sales.com, there I have a link at the top of the page. This is from the La Crosse Craigslist, I googled roxautosales.com and it returned two other CL sites, one in Kokomo and one in east Texas. I googled the phrase "there I have a link at the top of the page" and got 80 results, some for roxauto*sales.com and some for kbm*designs.com. So what's the payoff? Google search rankings? Or is there something on the pages that will download if I visit them? Edit: I added * to the urls that were referenced, no sense in helping their search rank if that's why they're there. Just take them out if you're curious to explore the sites. |
