This week it was the dog's turn...
Our goofball Pug Daisy has been in failing health for some time, but really turned the corner about 2 months ago. In the last weeks she'd been in organ failure and Tuesday we decided it was time to send her across the rainbow bridge. Little trooper - they couldn't find a vein for an IV on account of her blood pressure being so low and she didn't let out even so much as a whimper. I'm gonna miss my shop dog...

Damn! We who have loved and lost pets know all too well how you feel...
|
Sorry for you loss. Love the furkids with every fiber of my being. RIP Daisy.
|
My condolences. It's so hard to let our furry loved ones go.
|
My condolences, Charles.
"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way" - Irving Townsend |
Looks like she had a great dad loving her up. You'll never forget her.
|
Looks like a great pup that lead a great life with a great human.
|
can't imagine life without a dog.
|
My condolences.
Our pets are our children. I'm trying to save the life of my favorite of my dad's feral cats, "Sambo". I'm trying everything including amoxicillin. He's a brave little cat, and is for all purposes, not feral. He's a gentle loving cat that hugs my foot and loves to be brushed out. He purrs and uses my foot as a pillow. Neither of us will give up without one hell of a fight. |
My condolences, Charles. Puglies are great, loving dogs (aren't they all?).
|
I am taking my three knuckleheads out for a romp around the farm in a few minutes.
I'll ask them to pee on a few bushes for Daisy...the least they can do. Odd we know going in that this day is inevitable yet we trade our soul for theirs every time. Works for me. RIP Daisy. Just so you know, the laps in Dog Heaven are even hairier:D |
We've had to say goodbye to too many four-legged friends over the years. With each and every goodbye my wife swears she'll never have a another because it hurts so much, so each and every time I ask her if she'd trade away all the years of unconditional and uncompromised friendship and joy (insert pet name here) brought to her in order to ease the pain shes' suffering at the moment. Each and every time she answers no, she would not make such a trade. One of these times will be the last, but we're not there yet.

So sorry for your lose, the good times make it all worthwhile.

Godspeed Daisy. :(
My humble condolences to you, Charles. My wife and I suffered such a loss on Monday of our second oldest cat as well. I grieve for you, and with you too. |
Sorry to hear about your shop buddy.
|
It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are. ~ Unknown |
Sorry to hear - It's always hard to lose a great dog.
|
I'm sorry. Pugs are so cute, and good.
I hope you eventually give another dog a good home. |
Sorry to hear about this. Good dogs are people too...
A friend of mine has a pug named Daisy too. |
Sorry to hear of your loss Charles,
R.I.P. Daisy, Can't wait to meet you. |
