I always check Amazon first.

I feel your pain. I had the same machine. I replaced the cap. and motor. It lasted a year. The cap blew again and filled the basement with smoke.
I cut my losses and bought a new washing machine.
The washer was only 5 years old.
Good luck

just curious.
did you ohm from R on the cap to Y on the motor?
that would check the switch contacts and the windings

Is it fixed?

no no, the Ms. had me return the $195 motor & go find a new model. So the old now sits in the garage awaiting bulk-recycling pickup next week :/

Sorry about the washer, but thank you for the reminder Mark.

While it is sitting on your front porch any chance you could do this to end our undying curiosity?

Sounds like a good plan.
