That time of year again.....
I have to renew our home anti-virus package in about 10 days.
What would you folks recommend for a basic (Windows 10) home set-up? Just wondering what the board's consensus pick would be with respect to 'most bang for the buck'. Thanks & Cheers JB |
Andy Malone says the MS product is pretty darn good. I don't know if any paid version is worth the extra cost.
He is a big Microsoft guy so take that for whatever it is worth. About Andy |
I just use MS Windows Defender and run the free version Malwarebytes regularly and have had no problems. Mainly though, just try to use common sense with attachments or websites I'm not sure about... if in doubt, don't.

I haven't used anything other than the free Microsoft stuff in several years. I used to have to Trend Micro, then I switched to Norton for a couple of years. I think I've been using the MS stuff for at least 5, maybe more.

Who is your internet provider? Some include anti-virus prot in the service. Have never purchased any myself...never had a problem.

Go with ESET.. Top rated..

Bitdefender - highly rated, very light on system resources and free.

Thanks for the feedback gentleman - much appreciated
