golf tdi replacement

hi, I am having my golf tdi being bought back in the next 3 weeks and am having trouble deciding on a replacement. I work from home so i don't need a daily driver but as a complement to my 68 911 i do need something practical. the big issue is that my garage is small so most SUVs and 4 doors don't fit. here is my list:
new honda fit
70's BMW 2002
80's porsche 944
CPO volvo s60 - may not fit in the garage
TJ jeep wrangler 2 door

all of these are sub- $20k

any thoughts?

Honda Fit....cargo area is huge, reliability/resale is excellent.

I love the 2002 and regret selling my 944 but would not consider either of those "practical".

Not even in the same ballpark as a Jeep or Volvo, just IMHO.

YMMV

why not keep the golf and let VW fix it, and pay you at the same time. We are doing that.

all good ideas, i chose the buyback because it is just too good of a deal to pass up. when i bought it gas was much higher and the resale of the TDI was much better. if i get it fixed i likely won't get what VW is offering, although it isn't likely to be much of a difference.

Love my Nissan Versa. Small, cheap, cheap to drive, plenty of trunk room for when I go fishing or to the shooting range.

One of my students is being given $200 more than he paid for his TDI originally...

our appointment is next month, they will give is $28.8k buy back or 7.7k, fix it and we keep it. It's just too good a car to get rid of it. Diesel is still cheaper than regular and it get super great MPG.

Toyota Rav4 my wife loves hers , drop dead reliable with good gas mileage and comfortably seats 4 people with decent cargo room .

Same. My concern is in the event of a fix not approved.
If I find a good salvaged mk6 tdi, I'll sell mine back. But not likely lol

I'd keep it. I have an older TDI, (2006 manual trans), I love it and dread the day when I've used it all up. It's still very tight w relatively low miles and has a long way to go. They are great cars and mine is a blast to drive. One of my favorite ever cars.

Those are phenomenal. Not TDI fuel mileage but still excellent in relation to performance. They are bullets, really fun car.

and then there is this, today coming back from some breakfast we saw a fairly new Miata and my wife asked about them. I have never been in one so have no idea. They seem to sell well so people like them, how are they for a 6' guy on a road trip, say up the 5 from LA to SanFran or up to Seattle? This would be my wife's car.

Keeping our Golf TDI,.... as what would I replace it with? And I love the car
