Just a few years ago when we would say we were going on vacation to Croatia, 9 out of 10 people would have no idea where or what Croatia was! It's THE destination now!

That is a good plan!

We usually fly to Split, spend a night or two and then do island hoping with a ferry.

Your route is good, but do not forget to include Korcula! It is cosier than Hvar (unless you like to watch giant pleasure crafts). Plan to spend at least three days in Dubrovnik.

Hotels are either bad or expensive,so we usually book apartments online on each of islands via Hostels.com.
