I'm the opposite. I always make note of attaching the username to what they say.
It helps me assign and compile my own profile on them. Makes for a better understanding of them, for me. I'm just that way. ;)
In fact, I sometimes read a post/comment w/o looking at the username and can accurately guess who wrote it.
Not always, but it happens now/then.

I'm very similar and pay attention to the screen name, in fact, as I've learned folks' names over the years, I tend to think of them by their real first names instead. For the last part of your post....that's easy-peasly for much of PARF :)
