Mold in Car
Anyone know of any good products for washing Mold out of car carpet and rag top?
I took up rugs and scrubbed the floors and rugs. Seems to be working. Haven't got to roof yet and need to clean leather seats. Any suggestions? Thanks, David |
Google is your friend.
. How to remove car interior mold | Auto Detail Doctor While up in Portland, OR for two years my '92 XJ Jeep came down with a nasty case of interior mold...also exterior. I used a solution of Pinesol with a touch of Clorox. Just a bit of Clorox, really. In fact, don't even add Clorox, just hold the solution of Pinesol close to your lips and whisper, "Clorox". |
Haha yeah the mold will go spore away!?
Dilute bleach water. |
alcohol works good too..

Mold or mildew is in every corner of the space.
Localized cleaning with a liquid won't cut it. And fix the cause/circumstances also: -Get a dehumidifier for inside. -My whole neighborhood has a rash of green mildew. It's on everything. White fences, siding, sidewalks, concrete, everything. Too much power washing and maintenance every year. I'm going to try and start using Bleach-Free, No Scrub Mold & Mildew, Moss & Algae Cleaner | Wet & Forget and see how it goes. Needs to be diluted and sprayed and sit for a week to work best. It will harm plants. You need to run an ozone generator. 5K mg/h for $80. https://www.amazon.com/ozone-generator/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aozone%20generato r Or 20K mg/h for $100. 10,000 mg/h Ozone Generator $45.99 | Ozone Generator | Water - Oil Ozonators Ozone will eventually screw up leather and plastic and more. I would go with the lesser treatments and use only as necessary. Let it marinade for 24 hours at least. Do not breathe. |

Yeah, bleach. Dilute so you don't fade the colors, but that'll kill it. Then something to make it smell pretty. You choose that - Pine Sol, Lavender soap, pit grease... whatever lifts your skirt.

Step 1 - Replace interior
Step 2 - sell car Maybe Step 2 should be step 1... |

Move the car to Phoenix, AZ and park in the sun for a summer. Sell it then with no mold smell.
