Book title and author, please.
Rick Mystrom | Diabetes Patient, Author & Expert

He spoke at a Rotary meeting in Spokane in 2014 or 2015 and was an engaging speaker. I bought the book Eat? not because I was diabetic or close but just based on wanting to fine tune my diet. Of course I set it aside and didn't read it until now........

For those not bored to death with this, here is a decent but older article on type 1.5. I am going in for more labs Friday to test for any insulin production and for the presence of the antibodies that kill off the pancreatic beta cells.

https://www.diabetesselfmanagement.com/diabetes-resources/definitions/type-1-5-diabetes/

They have me on a slow acting 24 hour insulin, upping the dose every two days. It has dropped quickly over the last two days and this morning was close to "normal" at 116. I need to call today and check in as that is indicating I've hit my target dose or close to it. The danger is if I'm still producing some of my own and the medicine has taken a load off, the insulin could take me lower and produce a low glucose situation.

Yes, Eat? is the one I've got. Cheers!

If you are interested in this topic and get a chance to see/hear this guy speak, do it. He's a great speaker!
