So it's two syllables...who knew?
Now I don't bat an eye with Porsche...one or two...I know which is "correct"... but this one threw me....been pronouncing it wrong, in my head....never said it out loud that I can recall, my whole life :(
Hop's #9 This is gonna be hard... Hoppe's #9 ...two syllables just sounds so pretentious....dayum :) |

Nope. Don't care. It'll always be "hops." I don't want to feel like I should stick my pinky out while holding the bottle.

Had a close friend (yes, I have them) that passed away, Hoppe was his last name. Forever pronounced wrong, the minister at his funeral even killed it. His living responses were always, "whatever".....mine is also massacred.
I just tell people it's pronounced "Smith". The facial expressions are priceless. |
It's got a f***ing "e" in it. Why *wouldn't* it be pronounced "hoppy's?" If you say it like "ol hoppy's nummer nawn," like you're from Georgia, it even has a nice twangy sort of rhythm to it.
