Baz, a succulent
I guess it's a succulent, they call it an air cactus. a good 12" in diameter. it's sitting on the pot, of course no soil under it. It seems to like the beachy weather. I got it when it was just one clump. I guess you will have to stand on your head to see it. damit.

Bromeliad?

Bryan is correct.....a Bromeliad.
Specifically a Tillandsia aeranthos but not sure which variety - there are hundreds of them. Sometimes they are called air plants and Spanish Moss is a more familiar member of this genus. I love Bromeliads...so colorful and differing in habit and dimension. |

I posted this one a year ago, it grows well here. I took the pictures three different ways to see what would work. and nothing did, I have no idea what's happening.
