Luftgekühlt - rain or shine?

So who's going to Luftgekühlt, and will it happen if there's a lot of rain?

Probably not, can't allow all that water-cooling to happen!

(I honestly don't know, just couldn't pass up the joke :D)

We'll be there as spectators! Even if it's pouring out, the event will still go on :)

And it was a good one - in so many ways!

I will there, rain or shine. I am driving someone's else car there. The owner's bringing a few of them to show it off and hopefully sell.

If it's raining, I might leave the garage queen home.

That's what I'm afraid of. I don't mind driving my 72 but it's a survivor - nothing rare and no garage queen. But... it's the rare ones etc. that I wanted to see!

I really don't think its going to rain but a few sprinkle early morning

Jim Richards 05-03-2017 02:56 PM

Will do, Jeff.

I'm coming from the east coast...we have raincoats :)

Jim Richards 05-03-2017 05:54 PM

I left mine in DC/NoVa. :D

Rain was my biggest worry for Werks Amelia Island this year. Since we hold it on a golf course fairway, rain a day before would have been as bad as on the day itself. I'm hoping Sunday is sunny. Really looking forward to see some cool rides.

daepp 05-03-2017 06:22 PM

Yeah, will do Jeff!

The nice thing about Porsches is that they don't melt if you drive them in the rain.

Jim Richards 05-03-2017 07:29 PM

No ****? :D

See you there, Alarick.

chapo 05-03-2017 07:29 PM

Come on guys, they are cars. I race mine in the rain. Hard to tell in the pic but it's raining. It actually hailed at Fontana one year and the paddock flooded.

It's really not the rain...it's sharing the streets & highways with SoCal drivers in the rain.
