Can also be used for accessory power. Just remember that the female part of the plug is + (pigtail that is attached to the bike)

Yep, I have one of those on my Kawasaki KLR250. When you buy a Battery Tender brand trickle charger, you get all of that, and a permanent electrical connection that stays on the bike.

Any tender will plug into that.

Looks similar to an electric vest plug. They would be wired in the same manner as a battery tender and just work in different directions. One pulls juice, one pushes.

Yep. I have two different brands for two different vehicles. I have to buy an aftermarket extension cable because my truck sits on the driveway during the summer and is seldom used.

Yes. The exposed pin is negative.
