BMW E46 Hard Top Interchange?
 

I know, I know, there is a BMW forum on Pelican! But there are MORE people here to answer questions!

In what can only be described as a significant lapse of judgment, our eldest child left his 2002 BMW M3 convertible with me while he works overseas. :D

He wants a hard top for it. I found a hardtop off the same year regular 3 series car. Looks like the M version has black trim and the others are chrome trim (easy fix - we are painting it anyway).

Is there any reason that a 2002 regular 3 series hard top will not fit a 2002 M3?

Thank you, yes Carbon. My car had a factory hardtop which was damaged so it had the hardtop installation kit installed from the factory.
