getting him to learn to wear them is turning out okay. helps if i put the goggles on and toss a ball. and obviously, i took the lens out to minimize the sensory overload.

i'm trying to get him to associate the goggles with "good times!"

Too easy....I was expecting SO much more...blood, scratches, and lots of screaming.....all captured on video :)

I did the no lenses for a bit, I will be interested to hear how the lenses work out.

Bill, was it hell with your dog?

i will go with the clear lens next. the specs state that even the clear poly lens will filter out 99% of UVB and UVA. so at least on paper, if we dont get past that hurdle and my dog will accept only the clear lens, it would be okay.

on a side note..you walk by a bunch of ladies with a dog wearing goggles, they all come running.

i had a complete stranger 20 something girl trying to help with goggle adjustments the other day..Hank is one hell of a wingman. if i were single that is.... :)

I skipped the clear lenses and went right to the smoked ones. I would say she is fine with them 95% of the time, I still catch her rolling around trying to get them off when we are at home outside every once in a while. When we are camping or out walking around she is completely fine with them.

I still have the clear and mirrored lenses new, we haven't used either yet but I would guess that they would be the same as the smoked ones as it relates to how she acts with them on.

It wasn't hell at all, but my GSD has a pretty low key personality, so that have helped.

And yes, they are a conversation starter for sure......

Mission accomplished!
We did a four hour hike with the goggles.

Awesome....a dawg with a hanging tongue is a happy pooch imo :)

Does "Hank" pack his own water? He is still Hank I hope....

We had several city vets that tried to bankrupt us with our lab, who is an outside dog. We now take her to a rural vet that mostly does farm pets and animals. 5 minutes in and out for shots and checkup, and suddenly the dog is in perfect help. Funny how that works....
