Interesting model kits of paper or metal
We were wasting some time in a Barnes and Noble today when I saw these things. They look like a worthy waste of time. They are the same basic thing but one is thin sheet metal with tabs that you bend over and the other are made of paper that you glue together
The paper kits seem to mostly be buildings or structures Nano paper model kits ![]() ![]() The metal kits cover a much wider range including vehicles, planes, structures, sci-fi items, etc.... Metal Earth metal model kits

I go through different phases where I get the urge to build something, and keeping it small helps frame it into a weekend or until the urge is released.
I'm still staring at the foam code jig I was going to cover in a thin membrane material exploring an aerodynamic shape made of strictly 2D curves. Might be nice to build something a bit more literal and not so conceptual. Would have to be in the right mood though. Cool stuff, I would go for one of the tanks first. Look to be more durable and easier to dust.
