Any Auto Brokers Here

Over the years I got used to purchasing my new (to me) cars at wholesale actions through Eric (Kaisen) who is local to me. For a flat fee he would scan the wholesale actions and work with me to bid within a certain price range on specific cars coming up for auction. I'd pay the actual expense for the transaction plus his entirely reasonable fee to facilitate the deal. This strategy works especially well on middle of the road luxury cars like Mercedes E Class or BMW 5 Series that have a lot of cars coming off leases at about three years and see a huge dealer markup. Unfortunately, Eric has moved on to bigger and better things, just as I'm looking for a replacement for my trusty daily driver. My dream car would be right in the sweet spot of buying at a wholesale auction, but I need someone to guide me through the process and handle the paperwork. I know there are some member here who have dealer licenses and access to wholesale auctions. Does anyone work with private individuals to broker cars from wholesale auctions?

Wasn't Puppy Whip doing something like that up until recently, maybe still a little?

I've got a guy who will take you along on his buying excursions for a $300.00 fee and do the deal for you but you probably need to come to TX which considering what's going on in Houston you've got about a month before avoiding cars from the area.

He may be able to do the research so if you want his info PM me and you can ask him.

Check with DDW partners here in AZ. Not sure what their fee is though.

Yes he'd be a good commentary on this subject.

If you play Nickleback really loudly, and post something about GM and Tesla, then the other dude will re-appear like summoning the Kraken.

Correct. Unfortunately in KS you have to be a full on business with a location, signage, minimum sales, etc to maintain a dealer's license. Ultimately with my professional life and family there just weren't enough hours in the day to make it worth the expense.

I did some of the locating stuff, and actually picked Eric's (Kaisen) brain beforehand. It was typically a very good deal for my customers but a lot of hours for the $1000 flat fee that I charged, especially searching for niche cars. If I could do it again I would probably have charged a little more, particularly for cars that would obviously be time consuming. A 2-3 year old just off lease E-class would be a cinch, a 997 with full Aerokit in mint condition took months to find.

Well, I suppose I could do without the Aerokit. :)
