Beck 550 insurance
Not 911 I know but I was hoping someone here might have experience of insuring a Beck 550. I just asked Liberty Mutual and they said they would not be able to quote on a replica. Anyone have any ideas who I should call about a quote?

I know a couple people who have their unique project cars (some of them kits) insured through Farmer's. Probably not the least expensive option...

If the big name ins co's say they offer it, its likely coverage they get from someone else and rebrand it. For me, Allstate said they would cover my car.. and when pushed they mentioned they get theirs from Hagerty for classic/collector cars.
Hagerty, Leland West, American Collectors and some others will no doubt offer coverage since its not a primary driver for you?

Haggerty and Grundy both do kit/replica's. Usually Traveler's or Chubb paper.

If you are a PCA member check out Leland West. They blew hagertys price out of the water on my car.

James,
We had our 550 replica insured through Hagerty and then through Aon (or Aeon - can't remember the spelling). Our State Farm would not take the replica at the time. A few years pass... Now State Farm insures our car. I think we've had it insured with State Farm for 8 or 9 years now. About $8 a month when we aren't driving it and about $40 a month when we are driving. angela

Thank you everyone.
I got a good quote from Hagerty ($480) but sadly I missed out on the 550...oh well next time! |
