914 guys
This is on the local C list. Seems to be a bargain if you need a parts car. Not mine, no idea about the seller. Just putting it out there in case someone is interested.

Yes. Buy it.

I am actually struggling with my need for a project. I want a car but I don't want to give up my garage space. Also, at 64 years old, I do not want a project that I can't finish. |
when I see pics like this I feel so fortunate that I found a rust free, unmolested one.

Usually when you hear 914 and rust free in the same sentence means you are getting a 914 with the rust thrown in for free....
Love that little yellow teener! Beautiful little car. |
Thank you. I know it's a unicorn..but there is no rust or rust repair anywhere. Even the hell hole is in great shape. Truly a rare find. I thought the factory recalled all the rust free ones to put rust in them..

dang, thats a great price!

Thats what I thought. If you needed some parts it would be a deal. Dollars add up fast when you have a project car. |
FYI Wayne Dempsey of Pelican Parts was interviewed in Automobile Magazine about the 914 and desirability of the various years and engine types. It is a good read.

That seems like a great price. I picked up a 71 1.7 car that the long time owner started prepping for a repaint 10 years ago, all original and truly very little rust. I paid $1,600 and felt bad about giving that little for it but not bad enough to not do it :-)
