It's Official! I'm going to be a Dad!
 

Announcements went out last Saturday to the family, wife posted it up on social media for the extended friends and family to see. We're having a girl, so if she's got my wife's sass I'm done for. 15 weeks now, expected due date in March. Now I just need this new job offer I'm working on to come through!

10 years from now you won’t remember what’s it’s like to not have kids.

Sitting with my 13 yr old daughter watching my 10 yr old son playing soccer right now.

My son is 4 next month and it only gets more fun, especially when their sense of humor and interests start developing.

Congratulations! Listen up pup, whether she has Moms sass or not you're done, but that's not a bad thing at all. This little girl owns yer' azz from day one! And it's very cool. My daughter is , well over 21 and still just needs to ask and I will see it done. As for my granddaughter... well she doesn't even need to ask!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and congratulations. I'm actually quite excited about this, whereas in my 20s I would be dying from a panic attack. I wake up every morning and think "Wow, in ## weeks I'm going to be a dad."

My wife had the day off so we went by the Irvine Spectrum to try and find some nice maternity clothes. She's just starting to show a bit so it's new bra/new shirts/new pants time every week. If you're friends with me on Facebook you' ll probably see the status updates. On the plus side, I did get new riding gloves and pants, so win-win :D

Now, if only those mood swings were a bit smoother ...

Awesome. Welcome to the club. It has been well over thirty years since I first had the same euphoric reaction. I remember it well.

Congrats! Life changing in a very good way.

You'll get to fall in love all over again. My kids have both had trips to the ER (staples, broken bone, stitches, breathing trouble, etc) and enjoyed awards through school, sports and music. Each and every moment has been special.
