I believe, with no statistical data other than my own observations, that the number of panhandlers has increased in Oregon since pot was legalized.

Probably the same happening in Colorado.

At a really prime (busy) intersection in Denver, you sometimes see a van pull up and 3-4 people with cardboard signs pile out and go to work.

Van still has people in it, heads for another intersection...

Been going on since way before pot legality.

Many municipalities in the state scoop them up and give them a free bus ticket to Austin. I use the outside turn lane as often as I can.
