They look BIG. Do they present any danger?

She will stomp you to jelly when there is a calf around.

Very true! However this pair is quite "tame" so, although I enjoy seeing them hang around our backyard, I'll make it a point of giving them say 15 minutes of peace and then I'll run outside to shoo them away just so that they maintain some fear.....of us terrible humans.

What? No selfies with your back turned and her 6' over your shoulder? ;)

Still, pretty cool to see wildlife like that as long as you both respect each other's space enough so that no one gets hurt.

Yeah, lets see a close proximity selfie :)

I love Moose meat...very tender but not fatty nor gamey. I've a friend that has a Hunting business in BC.....lovely stuff.

I stumbled onto a female moose and her calf resting a few years ago elk hunting while hiking in a snow storm back to camp. I had to change my pants after she jumped up and gave me the evil eye.

No offense, but that is one ugly dog you have there. It will probably keep your neighbors at bay.

That is like the old adage, don't stick beans in your ears. Anyone that wants a selfie with a large wild animal is a Darwin candidate. They them do it and thin out the herd.

Actually the second and third pic were taken from our breakfast nook window...I could have taken a "safe" selfie there as she was outside and I was inside.....BUT she might have busted through the window....
