Fun, reliable, and cheap driver

Kinda unique too...but still just a Mustang.

One day left on ebay.

(edit) You'd definitely want to get new tires. Those are the originals in the pics, probably a decade old.

Wonder if they get to the reserve price

Me too. We've had a guy on the Bullitt board looking for an unmodded low (under 20,000) miles '08-'09 for over a year now...he's hoping to find one for under $20K,
Hasn't been able to do so. They seem to demand a premium over a "luxury GT".

No biggie to me...I plan on driving mine for quite some time. Fits me well at this stage of life.

$26,900 on the dealer's website...

Is there anything desirable about those, other than their limited production? Why wouldn't someone just buy the newest Mustang they can afford?

That's interesting. I paid $30,075 for my '09 new. Licensed, out the door.

Where I live it seems modified Mustangs outnumber all other modified makes put together by a factor of three to one.

Isn't that the Mustang history since about 1965? Cheap pony car for the masses with lots of ability to mod. (maybe paused a bit in the mustang 2 years)

Where I live used to be about equal number of modified Mustangs and Camaro/Chevy products (almost no Mopar) but GM just kind of disappeared. See more modified Corvettes than Camaros.

Son-in-law used to own a business called ProStreet Motorsports that specialized in modifying LS-engined vehicles - engine swaps, turbos, nitrous etc but all GM cars. They did good work but closed three years ago for lack of business. He now does V8 into BMW engine swaps. (Other son is currently in Austin doing a Mercedes V-12 into 1981 Mercedes SLC engine swap for a daily driver)

Most younger guys if they modify their cars at all seem to gravitate to Mustangs.

(I bought a new Mustang in 1966 but wasn't impressed)

6,500 miles?

Guess it wasn't that fun to drive. :D

Like being married to Shania Twain.

These pop up now & then in all car makes. Somebody believing a car will become a sought after collectable. So they buy it for the wrong reason, store it away. I guess that's fine if you have the 30 or more years it takes for most to become sought after, as long as one realizes many cars don't make it.

Overheard at a PCA Parade concours area long ago, a young teen looking at a 930:

"Wow, this car has 600 miles on it."

930 owner, proudly; "Yes. Documented."

Kid: "Isn't that like being married to Bo Derek and all you do is give her a bath?"

Mods...yep, many Mustangs are modded. Yet when buyers looking for a specific model, they seem to want original. Go figure.
