Kitchen Sink

I hate everything especially my kitchen sink.

It's not deep enough. I'm leaning toward 9", stainless steel, drop-in, single bowl. Also getting one of those sprayer things built right in to the high-rise faucet that you pull down to spray the cat with.

Been doing some interwebs research about guage, alloy content, sounddeadening, etc. I like the idea of those old-timey farm kitchen-type with a front apron I think it's called.

Can these be retrofitted to existing cabinetry that has the two fake drawers in front and laminate counter-top?

As in other aspects of life, I can only go 9" before bottoming out on account of the plumbing.

Any advice?

We put this sink in during our whole house remodel. Centerpiece of the kitchen and its fantastic. Looks like it exceeds your max depth though. Highly recommend the apron front or "farmhouse" style, and a single hole high faucet with built in sprayer.

Farmhouse sinks, with the open front, can be retro-fitted into existing cabinetry in many cases, but will require some cabinetry work.

Given the depth requirement you would like and the available clearance under the sink, an under mount may not work but a flush mount may fit, or a top mount version that sits a little higher. A quick look shows that there is even a faux farmhouse sink that has an apron that fits over the existing cabinet base giving the illusion that it is cut into the cabinet. Have not seen it in stainless steel, however, only copper, but I didn't look too long.

Do a bit more searching as there are literally hundreds of sink options available.

I am not a fan pf any sink with sharp angles. Stamped radiused bends are a lot easier to clean.
