Poor excuse for a human being

Show of hands..justice served or not? I can't bring myself to even watch the video.

You're giving it to much credit by referring to it as a human being.

Part of my issue with this is a judge that bans him from owning a dog...really?...and a fine? Who does this fine benefit (assuming the a##hole pays it).I would hope a shelter. It's a bit of a shame that he isn't relegated to mucking out kennels, but that would require supervision..

Tobra 02-08-2018 07:12 AM

Where does he live exactly? Perhaps I could give him some "counseling"

Norm K 02-08-2018 07:54 AM

If only that dog had defended itself.

It looked like a pit, incredible the monkey with the stick survived

Why didn't the neighbor who was filming it get involved? Who video tapes a poor animal getting mistreated without jumping into action. Maybe just yelling at the guy would make him stop doing what he was doing.....who knows?

Of course if it was me and I saw this piece of crap abusing that poor animal - he'd get more than just yelled at.....a baseball bat would be a good start.....

If you get involved, it might escalate and you end up in court yourself.
That's what you can expect from a low life like this.

You risk them faking injury and claiming you attacked them off camera.
And it's always hard to provide evidence of not having done something.

And let's say he yelled at the scumbag.. he might have stopped.
In plain view.. And then continued in the basement.. then what..

If you live next door to a psycho, you don't want to call attention to yourself. I expect there will be a less "neighborly" relationship going forward.

That dog could have shredded him to pieces.
What a POS. What comes around goes around, you'll see.....

If it meant stopping that TURD from beating that poor defenseless creature, I would GLADLY risk going to court, etc.

Sometimes you have to take a stand.

As far as this TURD continuing this deplorable behaviour in the basement - I don't know that could happen with one of more of the following occurring:

1. Him in jail for animal crulety
2. Him without the use of his hands due to having them crushed by a baseball bat
3. The dog no longer there for him to abuse
4. all of the above

asphaltgambler 02-08-2018 04:30 PM

Not clicking on that......

That's a heart-wrenching story but:
1). Why is some backyard London dog beating on the front page of major media conglomerate news here in USA?

2). Pit Bull Terriers/AST are tough.
He's lucky to be alive.
A drunk five foot something bloke with a piece of scrap wood is not going to change anything in the world.
There are larger issues to consider.

3). PETA has been labeled a terrorist organization in some parts of the world.
(at times I agree their policy had become uh misconstrued, but I don't watch the news too often)
Does the journalist seek to change that?

4). Is this only some emotional distraction from people thinking about real news and real events unfolding around them?

72doug2,2S 02-08-2018 06:43 PM

Not watching it either

Animal rights people in the UK are a bit more vindictive than in North Am. There was a case a few years ago of a woman throwing a cat into a garbage bin. She was fined $250 lbs by the courts and $1000 lbs costs. What she didn't expect was she received death threats and 18,000 people joined a facebook group to track her down (the group page was taken down by facebook). They were going to throw her into a garbage bin and see how she liked it.

sc_rufctr 02-09-2018 02:44 AM

Awful video and the worst part is the dog was completly submissive regardless of what this ****ing bastard was doing.

How could he possible justify doing that to an animal that was no threat to him?
Or was it that the dog was barking?

DanielDudley 02-09-2018 03:56 AM

I am so much better in contrast, and my hatred and anger is of a much better quality and more justifiable in my mind.

I'm pretty sure none of us condone animal abuse. I'm not sure that the solution is to foster the same emotions in my mind, no matter how I might wish to direct them.
I'm glad we have a justice system, and I need to keep my side of the street clean. If you want to help your brother with a splinter in his eye, first remove the chip in yours, so you can see to help him.

Got a solution that doesn't promote more hatred and violence ? Because it is additive.
