I know...the dope culture and all of its benefits to society have been huge.

There is truth in what you are saying Reiver,
and if you want to dwell on the negatives, have a look at the impacts of alcoholism in society. Yet a lot of us enjoy some reasonable use of that too. But neither are the subject at hand here. Cheers Richard |

I'm surprised no one has done a word play on "dope store" to disrespect Apple or Tesla (not that I would approve of such a thing)

I have a couple of patients using it for neuropathy. The key with the topical stuff is the carrier. There are compounding pharmacies that have been fabrication topicals for neuropathy, before this deal came along.

No, really ...dope has been a real boon to America and the fabric of our culture....the whole drug culture that has grown up around it is simply amazingly beneficial.
More dope for everyone.....it can only get better.....

Two locally.
One has an almost McDonald’s feel. Clean, corporate ambitions, employees shaved and well dressed. The other has patchouli smelling hippies with dirty fingernails who stare at their phones all day. Don’t think the town can really support two. We’ll see which survives.

I am jealous a bit of folks that like it. They seem quite peaceful.
However, saw my best friend from HS a few years back. Wow. What a toll that stuff takes if you are a "lifer" AND on the heavy side of use.

Probably still a novelty in California. When I was making weekly runs to the pool hall, I'd pass 4 pot stores. Never stopped, so can't relate the buying experience.

I've never been into the weed but I actually went inside the 'dope store' with a buddy for the first time a few months ago, and although i imagined something similar to the above posts it was actually pretty benign. Maybe in Colorado's 5 years the giddiness has worn off.
In a spontaneous mood of Liberty I bought some 10mg "Stratos" pills for fun. Still don't like the experience but I admit I slept like a baby.

My high school mj story: When I was in high school I had a friend, Henry, that was really into weed. He both grew it and sold it. One time he even asked me if he could grow it on my dads property since my dad had a small ranch. I told him no, of course. So, I was hanging out with some other friends at lunch and Henry comes running by and shoves this gallon size freezer bag packed full of weed in my arms and takes off running. Startled, my first reaction was to conceal it in my coat -- and good thing I did as the principle and the school narc came walking around the corner and passed right by me. The lunch bell rang a few minutes later and since my dad was picking me up early, I walked to the street to wait for him. So there I am standing on the sidewalk in front of the school waiting for my dad with a huge bag of weed in my coat when cop rolls up in front of me with the window down. He asked why I wasn't in school. I told him my dad was picking me up. He didn't believe me, gets out of the car and puts me in the back seat of his cruiser. So now I'm sitting in the back of a police cruiser with a huge bag of weed in my coat on the way to the detention center for kids that skip school. I'm really starting to smell this stuff and start getting really nervous. But the cop had his window down which must have masked/diluted the smell. We get to the detention center. He opens my door and escorts me inside where there are now three more cops and a room full of delinquents. I bend over to sign in, directly in front of the the cop manning the sign in sheet. Every time I move I get a whiff of the weed in my coat so I get really stiff so I don't waft a bellow of this stuff in the cops face. When I was done, another officer escorts me to my seat, walking behind me. So I'm walking really stiff and limiting my movement. I take my seat and wait for dad. My dad comes to pick me up. Proceeds to rip the cop a new A-hole in front of everyone for wasting his time and not believing me and we're on our way. So now I'm in the car with my dad with a huge bag of weed in my coat. I kept the window down the whole way home to dilute the smell - it seemed to work on the cop. I met up with Henry the next day, gave him the bag and a slap on the side of his head and told him to never do that again. It turns out he was scheduled for a search since he had a history of drug possession, whereas I never touched the stuff. The principle and the narc were looking for him that day. Anyway, everyone was amazed that I emerged from all of that unscathed. |

I initially tried P&B because a client of my wife told her about this stuff. The client is in her early 80s with extremely bad arthritis. She rubs it on her hands every morning and she is pain free for most of the day.

Colorado has this company, with over a dozen locations, and the units are bright, clean, and staffed by knowledgeable professionals. I still, however, have the tendency to look around suspiciously when I leave....you know, just in case...

Do you remember, way back in the day...sitting in a circle of friends - passing a joint while having long, evolving, enlightening conversations...really going deep before pleasantly drifting off? Sad to say...that with todays "one hit wonders," those days are gone!

Seems like weed was pretty low on her list. Sorry for your loss.
