That looks really cool!! We just have Sierra Cement in our neck of the woods.

BTW Curt, that’s one heck of a collection. I’m surprised you didn’t cut them down to make them into a fancy ski chair like some resorts have.

In the very tiny world of serious ski collectors ... I would be excommunicated, then burned at the stake, then shot for cutting up vintage skis! :D

I spy a pair of Squadra Corse, I have a pair of 207s.. loved those skis...

My brother is actually cutting up a bunch of our old skis and making a "Game of Thrones" type Adirondack chair...

Numerous pairs of old skis have been collecting in the loft of our Vermont place for 30 years or so...I'm not too concerned about any value in the old boards.

Next time im in Vermont ill try and take a pic of the chairs.... its pretty cool.

Oh dang! That my friend, is an impressive collection. I now understand why....

Like the P-car too[emoji3]

These things are everywhere and the majority of riders are my seiner. I am dating myself but the phrase “Two dollars, I want my two dollars” keeps playing over and over in my head.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7918a5e31e.jpg

Yes! I had 3 pairs of Squadra Corse (1983ish) - 207-208? GS, 212 Super G, and 222 Downhill (DHs were black). The Super Gs were one of my all-time favorite skis. In that pic next to the Squadra Corse are my 1979 Blizzard Firebird Pro 210 GS and next to those Blizzard Thermo Olympic 223 Downhill. Those Firebirds might have been my favorite 'straight skis' of all time.

I've sold all my skis, except 10-12 pair including a set of never-skied-on 1974 Dynamic VR17s.

Now I’m feeling bad for getting rid of my 205 Authiers with you guys talking about vintage sets

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ed170f172e.jpg

I way overdressed for the warm temps. I’m boiling. It was seriously a jeans and short sleeve day.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...879a4244ec.jpg

I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of my Thrift Store score. The Fisher Race SC’s did not disappoint. I was mostly on groomed runs and they edged well even though they need a nice edge and wax tune. As mentioned by Billybek, they are a more ridged ski good for carving and the bumps. Good response feel. I did encounter some chatter on high speed run but that was also early on and the surface was still a bit icy. I do need to adjust the DIN settings on the rear binding on the Fishers.

The Demo shop is selling off this years models but all are way longer than I prefer. So the hunt continues for the right length. On a side note, we picked up a good new set for the wife. She is still getting her feet under her so we located a good beginner pair for her to develop her technique. A lite set of Rossignol with Look bindings.

Now we need to find a good set of boots for her and I. Might look into a reputable boot fitter if we can find one locally. Any info on that process would be appreciated.

Cheers
