Is it ok to pass wind at a funeral?
Since were checking our etiquette with the tip thread, washing hand thread, farting in the men's room thread. I don't want to be rude so thought I would ask.
What say you? |
If it's your own it's acceptable, you can even yell at your wife's new boyfriend

At least the smell might “temper” the stench of those floral arrangements.
I do not care for the smell of lilys. |
If it's a cremation; probably not a good idea. You may get a blow back from the main fire.

Hey after my last Colonoscopy I distinctly remember my doctor putting me under orders to fart loudly and they would not let me leave until I had some real cheek flappers. He told me directly to keep farting after I left. He did NOT put a time limit on that. It has been a couple of years and I am still under doctors orders to let em rip!

At a funeral it is best to let one go when viewing the diseased at an open gasket so you can blame the recently passed for the passing.

Why not, the deceased do it all the time.

Only if you fart directly into the casket. The deceased can’t smell it and the still-alive attendees can, so it’s really just a courtesy. I suggest shimmying right up there and bare-assing it so you’re sure to get it all in there and away from the sensitive noses of the still-breathing. Scooch up and sit right on the casket edge if you have to. It’s the polite thing to do after all.

Tasteless thread of the year

Get up and loudly ask.....HEY, who stepped on the duck ?

What’s with the uptick in fart threads?

The 21 bun salute is entirely appropriate. My grandpa would agree.

He pumps gas into the bowels to help him see and he said if one does not fart it can cause discomfort. It was hysterical in the recovery room. The patients were all in one big room with just curtains for privacy. One old lady in the bed next to mine was evidently quite uncomfortable blowing a cheek flapping fart in earshot of others. The nurse told her until she passes some gas, she can't go home. After the prep the night before it is great to know with 100% confidence it will not be a stinky or chunky fart. Bear down and let em rip! |
