scams In For Sale Section
Fellas whats up with all the odd responses to thing's that are being offered for sale? I have a 1980 911sc listed and have had multiple responses that to be honest are rather odd. Most responses have been from members who haven't been active for years....no post and from recent members with no post. I had one guy send me a pm with email and when I responded via email he acted like he did not know what I was talking about....lol Accused me of possible fraud!

Lots of stolen email addresses out there. I get them with old and new customers as the sender and there's just a link on the message. No hi john or anything. Delete.

Every once in a while sites like Pelican are attacked by scammers who run a program that tries to log in on all the usernames in the forum by using either the username as the password or simple passwords like password, 123456, etc. I remember that happened here about 10 years ago or so. Maybe someone targeted Pelican like that again and scooped up some login information and is using it on dormant accounts to avoid detection longer than if they used active accounts.
