Wife wanted to watch the new Roseanne. I have never liked Roseanne or the old show but agreed to watch to keep the peace. I am not sure if I can even say it was barely tolerable. From the maybe gay grandson that wears women's clothes and nail polish to the adopted black girl by the now adult son to the eldest daughter who wants to be a surrogate to pay her bills. The best is Roseanne being a Trump supporter.

Immediately following Roseanne was a show called black-ish There is so much disturbing about this show I don't know where to begin. But the black on white racism and white shaming was intolerable.

I am sure this will end in PARF

Two more reasons why I will never watch a network sitcom.

Before I retired from Disney, last week, this was one of my main shows. The people who work on the show are very nice,

Have any of you guys watched the new show....."BlackScreen?" It's on my TV all the time, I like it.

I actually watched Roseanne, never seen an episode before until tonight. I actually likedthose episodes. It was relevant to today's BS social issues and not too damn idiotic (overblown) like most sitcoms these days. As for blackish, no thanks. Even if it has larry fishburne.

to their credit they bring out the diminishing generational racism of Black American culture.

This has been coming for a while. In the very near future white folks are going to be a minority in this country for the first time in a couple of hundred years. It's going to take some adjustment and it's not going to be easy for us. My family's Quaker background isn't going to be recognized. We'll just be more white folks acting white.

I remember people saying **** like this back in the '90s when I was a teenager growing up. :rolleyes: Still hasn't happened, unfortunately.

Strange, I thought black-ish was pretty clever. Well written. I have seen only a handful of episodes but I enjoyed what I saw.

The asian show Fresh off the Boat was funny as well.
