Added a new rifle to the pile.......................

Picked up a CZ 527 rifle in .223 Rem. today. Nice little rifle, weighs about 6 1/2 lbs, good wood and has a completely adjustable trigger that is also a single set trigger! It is rated from CZ to be safe with both .223 and 5.56 ammo! It uses a 5 rd detachable magazine, has iron sights and built in scope mounts. This is a bolt action built on a mini Mauser action. The rifling is 1 in 9 so it should be great with heavier bullets. This is the "Lux" version! Can't wait to get it to the range! Some pictures:

Welcome to the CZ family. Very high quality all through the line up. Sold my 455 Varmint to fund some other stuff, but will not sell my 75 BD

You really need a Scout to go along with that

Nice looking piece , there is something about a wood stock on a rifle that just makes it look right ! Good job .

keep reading how great CZ's in general are. every once in a while I dig around for a nice scoped 22lr and the CZ's seem to be a favorite. just haven't found the right price yet as I'm struggling with the idea of a $500+ .22 that I won't shoot often.

That's a nice looking piece. IIRC any rifle chambered for 5.56 is ok for .223...yes?

My "go to" .22 bolt action rifle is a 1928 vintage Winchester Model 52 in the early sporter style stock. Lyman 17A front sight and original Winchester Buffington style rear peep sight. A bit on the heavy side, but that just adds to the stability! Really, really tough on squirrels!
