Alabama Indy Race this weekend

Not the hype, glam, and circus of Long Beach but an awesome race:
-World Class design (best for 2 wheels but still an awesome track)
-Limited passing but plenty of room to take the risk and not end up in a concrete wall. There is always some action.
-No it isn't the glitter, glamor and circus like Long Beach or F1 but a beautiful track in the country with plenty of places to see great racing - just bring a blanket or a lawn chair. If you are a PCA member they had a great tent location and amenities when I was there.

Qualifying is today on CNBC
Racing Sunday on NBCSN

Rats, just finished watching qualifying where they talked about 100% chance of rain. On that track it will be a nightmare.

It will be a miracle if this isn't a wet race , but wet helps separate the men from the boys . I am fascinated by race car drivers that are fast in the wet and at night , takes a special skill set to go fast in less than ideal conditions . I think Rossi qualified 8th I'd keep my eye on him . Bourdais should be good in the wet also .

Agreed. Love wet races. Other than if the spray is completely blinding, then it can become a 'who's crazier' type race. Hopefully that track has good drainage. Should be interesting. I've got to admit I've been enjoying the Indycar races the last year or so.

Watching it now. Just got red flagged on lap 19. Drivers can't see.

There's wet and then there's hydroplaning every 100 feet.
Looks like they need to just reschedule to finish the race.
Indy has a really bad habit of NEVER saying the race will run or be finished another day until the scheduled TV is done. Its all about the advertising dollars and it sucks for the fans.

There’s still hope the race will restart in 15-20min.

Thanks for letting me know. I gave up, started spraying weeds & brush. Nice to know I didn't miss anything.

Broadcast ended at 6 pm. Announce right at the end of broadcast time (as I had predicted).
