Australia - my son needs advice

My engineering graduate backpacking son is looking for temporary work for the remainder of the year in Australia.

Anything from construction grunt work, hands on shop work, or something in his field.

He has experience in retail as well.

PM me if you have any leads for him while he is down there.
He has about 6 months left on his visa.

Thanks
Wayne

Not that this will help, but when I was down there many years ago I met a British guy on Magnetic Island who offered me a job building small cabins on a beach, then heading to the outback prospecting for opals, since I'm a geologist. I met him in a crowded tourist bar while watching their famous frog races. I was only there for a month so had to decline, but the point is he might be able to score some temp work by hanging out in crowded social settings with adventurous people.

He’s currently in Queensland with his backpack but willing to fly or bus to wherever the work is

Hi Wayne, my son in laws brother moved to Oz beginning of the year. I believe it is a two year stint. He is currently working on a horse farm and might have some contacts.

I have a school friend who has a son living in Oz. The latter has been there many years.
I don't know what he does but I will forward info re both of them via pm.

Cheers, Guy
