FAVOR to ask you fellas.... 911's......

SOOOOOOOOOO...............

Have a small favor to ask you guys..........

In 2011 my beautiful wife and I got married........

we had a wonderful wedding.......

we have a super duper awesome 911 CARAVAN going to the church.

This caravan was made of several of my good friends, AND also a few of you guys that were kind enough to bring your 911's out and join in on the caravan of 911's to celebrate our wedding. it was an INCREDIBLE gesture on your part and i appreciated it like you wouldn't believe.

HERE IS THE FAVOR I'M ASKING......

I always tell my sons of the Caravan of 911's we had at our wedding, before they were born. They cant believe it!

My oldest is getting to the point where he is getting interested in Papi's "RACE CAR".... but he is too little to drive in mine (I'm a little nervous of having him drive in my car too". He really wanted to see all the 911's together, and all the different colors.... looking at pictures ISNT THE SAME!

So I was thinking.... instead of taking him out to see the cars..... I wonder if the cars can come to see them!

They would LOVE LOVE LOVE that.....

Soooooooo

Is anyone interested in making a little kids day and meeting at my house?

Maybe we can have a 911 get together at my house and drive together to breakfast or some Coffee?

We live in Orange County, 15-20 minutes from Newport Beach, CA

Any local 911's care to join in?

I've already talked to the usual suspects,

Chris
Patrick
Scott

They are all in........ 100%

How about"

Mike?
Kevin?
Joe Bob?

Anyone?

Thoughts?

Nice!

Thanks Jim!

I figured you might be in.........

I'll send out a few date options shortly......... as long as I/We can get a few commitments, I dont want to tell the boys and have a low turn out to be honest.

Craig T 06-03-2018 02:49 PM

I'm in!

PRE-H20 06-03-2018 02:54 PM

Hi Craig!

Sounds GOOD!......

Two 997 so far!

gary1101 06-03-2018 03:24 PM

if he time and date work out my wife and I will come down from Redondo and we have a 997

daepp 06-03-2018 07:07 PM

Last time was Diamond Bar IIRC - are you in North OC?

Regardless, name the date!

kevin993 06-03-2018 07:58 PM

The spirit says "I'm in", but the mysterious battery drain says "need to get this fixed before running around more." Happy to join if possible. Just don't know if the mighty 993 cabriolet can answer the bell.

Gary: that would be a LONG drive..... PERFECT! another reason to get out and puts some mile of the Pcar!

Kevin: If your having the dreaded electrical gremlins, maybe we will wait for you! those just plain suck!.... BTW... i still have those Pcar posters you and your beautiful wife sent our way, YEARS ago........

David: YES.... last time it was in Diamond Bar, that's where my favorite MIL lives.... we ended up buying our house 10min from hers so we are still pretty close to her. North OC.

Livi: well...... hummmmm.... if you start the shipping process NOW..... your car might arrive in time for....... well.... nooooo forget it, wouldnt work.... :)

Hi Guys....

Ok.... so lets look at our calendars.........

Is everyone going away for the weekend of July 7th or 8th?

Kevin993.... that gives you sometime to hunt the gremlin........ is that enough time?

I'm in NO HURRY at all.... just something I would like to do for the boys is all.

I'm 100% open to anything, including suggestions...... any?

I'll be in Yosemite on the 7th and 8th.

gary1101 06-07-2018 09:44 AM

I will also be in Yosemite the 7th and 8th. I have a permit for half dome on the 8th.

REALLY? Can I piggyback on that permit??? :D

We're in the North Pines RV section. Where are you staying?

DRACO A5OG 06-07-2018 10:06 AM

I would not suggest a fun run. Kids will not handle the twistys

When my step son was younger, I had a bright idea to take him to a NYD fun run

He threw up on my brand new Porsche jacket

Eric at Pelican Parts 06-07-2018 10:42 AM

If you don't mind a Macan coming along, I wouldn't mind coming to join :D

gary1101 06-07-2018 10:43 AM

Craig, as of now we have 6 permits and 6 people going. We are camping at the south entrance.

PRE-H20 06-11-2018 08:34 AM

Good Morning Fellas!

I kinda figured alot of you would be gone the 7 & 8th but I thought I would ask.....

Maybe the 14th or 15th ? please check your calendars.....

Jim... the idea was NOT to take the kiddos on a drive, mine are to small to be in the PCAR..... my idea was just to have a BUNCH of you guys come over the house with the cars so they can see a parade of differnt color PCARS and hear the rumble!....... from there just go for breakfast or coffee locally.....

dont really want to make a big deal out of it... just a reason to drive our cars for a bit and make the day of a future PCAR enthusiast is all.

Macans are actually welcome Eric......!

PRE-H20 06-11-2018 08:36 AM

This might be a good place to ask a question........

My neighbor is looking to buy a 1999 996.

It has 98K miles, pristine condition, 3 previous owners. all service records.

Asking 18K.

IS THIS A GOOD PRICE FOR A 1999 996 ?

He is looking forward to meeting all you guys at my house........ (maybe the 14th or 15th)
