Plunger style mole traps....highly effective. I don't need them, but dad's been using them for years....one of his traps is probably 75 years old (passed down)...'cause they work

Once had someone suggest using acetone to kill moles.

Dig into one of the burrows.
Put a bottle cap filled with acetone in the burrow and cover hole with plastic.

Acetone drifts down the burrows killing them.

Never tried it but if it worked you wouldn't need to worry about a body.

For yellow jacket nests in the ground, a plastic bottle with several ounces of gasiline just stuck upside down in their entrance (right at dark) does them in....highly effective

I think it's the fumes not the liquid...but I've never asked them....

No moles here, a bunny or other varmint ate one of my new tomato plants though.

Man verses natures, the saga continues.

If you have visible mounds all over, you probably have gophers, not moles. Gophers are way worse.

Put in an inground swimming pool. Mine catches lots of moles, far more than my dogs.

Get a jack russel. Ours would dig up the world in search of a rodent.

Another trick is to smoke them out. We used to get some smoke bombs you would light and toss down the hole and cover it up. Cover anywhere it came up and problem solved. A hose off the exhaust of a smoky 2stroke will work too🤣🤣🤣

We spent new truck money redoing the yard. There will be no digging dogs or exploding gases.

I’m focusing on non destructive methods for now.

Problem is I don't think your moles share your "non destructive methods" philosophy.

I laid down s/s chicken wire the sod.....I DID have gophers in my avocado patch, used the "Black Hole" trap baited with a carrot. The dogs got the carcsasses.

Hook up a hose to your exhaust, put the other end in the tunnel, let the car run 10-15 minutes. you my need to re-seed, but it worked to kill the little bastards that were building a super-highway in my back yard.

Gophers, not moles. Maybe belongs in the gopher thread.
I got rid of some back yard gophers one year by igniting a 12" road flare and tossing it down a hole.
Then the nozzle of an idling back pack blower into the hole and smashing down the other gopher mounds when fumes appeared. Worked that year.

Oh, and then there was the mole invasion.
I'd see the grass undulating and I'd jam a pitch fork down into the spot. Great fun.

If you have more than one ant pile, best way to kill them is to make them fight each other.. Knock the top off of one to get them stirred up and then take a shovel full off of another pile and mix them together. It is a battle royale! Been doing it that way for years and it works..
