Hey you guys,
Unfortunately, the driver from Canada will be a "no" show.....for this one.....anyway. But......I'll keep my eyes open for the next happening, and I'll try my very best to stick with the plan. I'm sure I'm passing on the opportunity to meet some interesting people.......and hope to do so in a near future. Have a great time and be safe!!! Later

I'm going to have to bow out guys. An old friend showed up unexpectedly and no offense and all that, but I'd rather spend the time catching up with him.
Yeah, bad luck I know. But I'll catch the next run. There's got to be one more before rainy season, right?

Well. I made it home in one piece, thought the front of my car seems rather unfamiliar. For those who are wondering, I made it home in the red Targa after French kissing the cement bridge abutment travelling backwards.
I think this run really should have been named "Spinning through the Cascades". I'm fine and the car will live. Probably somewhat expensive though. ON a lighter note: This is what you see following Dane in the rain: And a bit more rain: This one looks great from either end: The view out my Drivers side mirror (enhanced!): ![]() Had a great time, and discovered I really need some new tires, and maybe some rear suspension work. Guess the garage will be busy this winter

Man...I really wanted to go, almoat did, BUT I had a feeling that stuff would get wet. My little 2.0 simply spins in the rain, cant go straight for 50 feet, I dont know how you guys lived through that!
Looks awesome though, at this point I guess we're looking forward to spring, maybe a warm winter drive on a nice day.. Bob O

Doesn't look that bad, just a small scratch on the bumper corner, but the back corner of the trunk lid on the other side tells more of the story..... And you can just see the small dis-shaping of the fender arch.... Appears to be about 1/4" off alltogether. The front tire took most of the impact, missed the wheel though. Alignment is off just a tad, so I did something there. Anyone know a good shop to have this looked at in the Portland area? and know of any place to get a decent deal on a set of good rain tires I am likely to have a set of not-so-good ones for sale cheap!

kumho supra's are pretty good all-around tires.

This car came with (obviously) mismatched tires.
General XP2000ZR rears and Kumho Supra's on the front. The front did not slip The Generals are just fine in the dry - good holding power. I am assuming the POS PO went for some cheapies for the replacements. Damn. Pay up front or down the line.......

Sorry to hear about the mishap... must have been something in the cards today, as one of our guys out at our AutoX lost it going around a corner and ploughed hard into some Armco. Sent him flying and high centering him on a big assed log. Took us an hour, 2 floor jacks, and about 15 people to get the car unstuck off of the log, then another 2 hours for the flatbed to show up to take it to the shop.
Saddest part was this was the nicest targa in the area... past concours winner, multiple times, and the nicest guy in the world. Hopefully your damage is purely cosmetic (with a small alignment adjustment thrown in). ...jeff |

At least this was not a concours car to start.
I was able to drive home (about an hour). Seemed fine up to about 65 (on flat straights of course!). Alignment not that bad, but definitely off. Should be pretty easy to fix for someone with the right equipment. Only scratch on the car from the incident is the bumper end.
