Like Doug said, look at the Boxer/Cayman options. Alot of car for the money and properly setup, very sporting. If I was looking at newer one, they would ne high on my list (the Boxster was on my list when I was looking for my fun daily commuter but I was looking for a lower price point).

Be sure to talk to Garth- he drives his Cayman a LOT, though I don't remember what transmission he runs.

I have an '07 Cayman base with the 5 speed manual. 112k miles. Wondering when it will need a clutch. Very obvious it's never been apart.

Sorry, Eric - hope things work out for you.
My "go to" for a newer Porsche if I had to get rid of the Targa would be a newer Cayman with the PDK... |

Yes Eric, very sorry to hear you are divorcing.
I did that once....don't want to do it again if you know what i mean. All the best with your transition to the new life. ![]() I guess that means the RV track is no longer gonna happen..... bummer! HA We'll just terrorize your new neighborhood instead at midnight. Double haha

What?

Well, I still have the little mini track. Just need a space big enough for it. Gotta get this place sold and start looking down south, Salem area.

Do we want to meet on Thursday? The forecast looks good so far. If it holds, could sit outside.

I would consider it. Looks like they have the space.

I would be game to bring El Jalapeno by to show you all the finished product, but I am not going to risk eating there.
(This assumes that I can still drive a clutch. My left knee has finally given up the ghost due to arthritis and is barely functional at the moment. I am currently in queue to get it replaced!)

Never made it today....my clutch knee was bothering me too much today.
Yes, I'm scheduled for left knee replacement on Friday, July 24. The fun begins.
