We made it!, but don't trust your GPS or google maps to get you there:-)
Because they don't have food in the tasting room we had dinner at the Inn at Gig Harbor. Good menu, a few good beers, and nice service. Navigate to them and go straight thru the parking lot if you want to get to the brewery. The Stout is great, and I liked the amber I had with dinner. We had a good talk with Gene again, and highway 3 back thru Shelton was a good drive. I really need to quit drive and drop the tranny before I push my luck to far. Can anyone recommend a rebuilder here in the Northwest for a G96/31 out of a C4? I checked with Steve at RennSport but he may be to busy to get it on his calendar. |

Does anyone want to meet this week? I've been pricing my winter Porsche work and will need medication as I hit the total button.
tranny rebuild, clutch kit, RMS, IMS, OAS,... the list goes on. |

I'm back at home but I have our daughter and granddaughter here for a short visit so I'll not be there. Our son-in-law arrives on Fri. All will be here till the 27th. May not be in the state after that. Going back to Cali again for a few days. Have fun and find a good place for drinks and eats.
It may be cheaper to remove the rad. cap and drive a new under it and replace the cap. Faster also. |

Don't need faster. Besides it's already faster than my skill level. No track time to get better until I have title in hand.
i'm still waiting for that 944 to show up for dinner. :-) You have fun with the family, and have a happy new year. |

:You're right! but... that would be a logical action. And I didn't buy this one based on logic. At least I didn't buy a Ferrari. Sometimes you just get sucked in. It will be back on the road in a year or 2. and think of all the tools i get to buy. Finally, a car lift ![]() Let's talk about lifts next time we get together. They all seem to have a mix of good and not so good. |

Back in Cali again for a quick trip. There are some advantages to having college kids at home. Gives us the freedom to go on impulse and not worry about things at home. This we take full advantage of too. He is so thoughtful of me, always offerring to drive the Porsche for me so it gets "exercised", and keeps the battery fully charged. Oh and but the way a little gas money would help- It takes Premium you know!

Lance, sorry to hear about your Tranny in the C4. If you and Craig get together this month (Jan) or next just drop me a line and I'll try to make it. Crazy holiday season is over thank god. Finally got to take my ride out last week and got caught in some freak snow showers, it handles better than I was expecting but I won't be making a habit of it!

Thanks hopper! i can tell you the C4 works great going down and up the hill from my place:-)
That week before thanksgiving was fun. Work has scheduled a minor software update for the 13th but the week after should be open and maybe warmer? |

Gtg
I'm available after the 18th. Let me know. Silver City Best Food in Silverdale | Silver City Restaurant & Brewery in Silverdale has a good selection and types of beers. Another place is Toad House Pizza in East Bremerton Toad House | Cash Advance | Debt Consolidation | Insurance | Free Credit Report at Thetoadhouse.com where they have a large selection of different specialty beers. Both have good food. Any other selections?

They look like tempting places but I would rather drive that far on a weekend.
Is there anything in Tacoma? Somebody at work mentioned a place called BJ's, near the Tacoma Mall, I think. Nicer weather for the drive wouldn't hurt either:-) But I drove the C4 yesterday in the downpours and I have to say that the Bridgestone Blizzak made it more like a summer drive on sticky tires. |

The 17th right?
Unless my maintanance schedule gets mucked up, I can make it. Probably in the GT6. it looks like another couple months before i can start on pulling the tranny. Does anyone have any suggestions for 36 in jack stands? I'm not a fan of cribbing and I'm not ready to spring for a lift. The garage needs a roof raising:-) |

No GT6:-( But boy does it look and run better with poly bushing and 3 inches closer to the ground:-) !
I think the weather forecast requires the Duramax. How much longer till spring? |
