Electric Flag Mirror
My electric flag mirror on 1984 911 3.2 (RHD) does not adjust in any direction at all but the I can hear the motor activating.
What's causing this ? Thanks |

Most likely a broken drive gear. They are made of plastic and it's not uncommon for them to dry up with age.

I feel like an idiot.
Replaced the drivers side motor and I can still hear the motor run but the mirror does not move. Turned out that the passenger mirror was activating. Porsche COA said only drivers side is electric, eventually found a changeover switch under the oil gauge, they both work left & right. Did not even know they were heated mirrors. |
