I got the car ready for primer once it's primed I will only paint the roof panel them make a mold of it so I can make a carbon fiber roof for the car. the Baja Bug is our other big full build we are doing. I finished up all the body filler work and the fabrication on that yesterday and started taking it all back apart to sand it for primer and painting the interior. this car we had a Mazda rotary built for it should put out about 300 HP or so. I only have until about may or early June at most to get both cars finished and back to the customers because the wife and I are starting a new business renting track day cars. we bought a few of the Rush SR race cars to rent for track days and this will be taking up most of our time. |
Nice!
Where are you doing the track days Lime Rock? Or all over the northeast......... good luck in your new endevour |
we will be doing the rentals all over the north east to start with.
pretty much for the SCDA and NASA events but more clubs I'm sure will be added into the list as time goes by. NASA in the south and TX does spec racing with the Rush cars so we will be looking to also get a spec Rush series in the N.E. going for the 2023 season also. it will be a full arrive and drive with full track support and data logging and coaching so the renters will get the most out of both the cars and themselves. |
Cool you turned a 944 into a Beetle.
Seriously that's awesome work. |
Those Rush SR cars look like they would be a blast to drive. Best of luck and enjoy. :)
