Front suspension pan replacement - suppliers?
In doing some research for a replacement pan (1970 911), there is no shortage of suppliers, AASE, STODDARD, RESTORATION DESIGN, PORSCHE, etc.) and prices range from around $300 to the PORSCHE factory piece at almost $1,000.00 I would appreciate hearing from those who have purchased and installed a pan in hopes of making the right choice. Thank you.

Restoration Design parts are good quality, fit decently, and priced fairly. OEM (usually) is always going to be the best quality but cost can be an issue. I think RD fills the niche between quality and value. I've used quite a few of their parts and have no complaints.

Restoration design tested their panels on Celette jigs.
That's what I learned at Hershey in their booth. |

Most of their panels fit quite well but I did have an issue with their outer rocker panels. They may have been made by Danks at the time. Not sure if RD may make their own now.

Regardless of the source, they all need a bit of fettling. RD is good quality, they tend to be a touch on the thicker side, which is better than the alternative.

I went with the Restoration Design pan, now installed, and very happy with it. Thank you.
