For me this is almost as valuable as the ever hoped for 915 book. Thanks Wayne!
Perhaps someone has a collection of "the best of" threads that could post the links, i.e. paint stripping 101, metal conditioning and epoxy priming 101?

Thanks Wayne!
Could you put in one of those great threads on rock chip repair to reference? I have seen it but can not find it.

I too would like to thank Wayne .
As a wrench I relax sometimes by doing paint work , lead work , late model rebuilders . Always looking for the most current info and what works and doesn't . SxS

Here's the start of my project. It's my 78 SC that I'm currently backdating to a 73 RS lookalike. Will it be 100% correct?, well no but I'm doing everything myself from the bodywork and paint to the interior, glass, wiring and suspension/brakes.
![]() TRE fiberglass hood fitted ![]() Rennspeed rear bumper fitted ![]() Used early fenders that cost me 2k $670 of which was just shipping![]() ![]() Another front end pic with lights installed and steel hood as the TRE piece needs massaging and the OE one was needed for fender alignment ![]() Fit issues with passenger side fender. won't lay flat near bottom ![]()

So far I'm into this thing for about $11k including purchase price of the car which i think is pretty inexpensive for what I'll eventually have
![]() interior shot showing the tan door panels and dash which will be black eventually.Momo prototipo and Hargett shifter are installed as is the first of 2 Corbeau seats. I already have the carpets(appbiz RS) and the door panels/tops I'll recover myself. as far as the dash, I'll probably do alcantara if I can find the material

Awesome project Village, (mind if we know your real name, I really don't want to call you an idiot, LOL). Keep the pics coming as work progresses. What color she going to be?

Hey Mark, no problem. I'm leaning strongly towards signal orange or at least something in the orange family.

Hey Tom, Wanna modern take on the orange color, (great choice)? Are you a traditionalist? If not there are some really cool oranges now a days if you'd like to kinda sorta 'modernize' the look.

It depends on the color Mark. Sometimes I think about shooting it some kind of coppery-orange metallic. But I do love how adventurous Porsche was color-wise in the 70's
